Roadway Design Professional (CAD Technician / EIT / PE)

Position Overview
A growing transportation engineering team is seeking a Roadway Design Professional to support the planning, design, and production of roadway projects for TxDOT, municipalities, and county agencies throughout the San Antonio area. This position is open to candidates at the CAD Technician, EIT, or PE level, depending on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Support the design and production of roadway improvement projects for TxDOT, local cities, and counties.
- Prepare roadway plans, profiles, cross sections, alignments, and construction documents.
- Assist with geometric design, drainage coordination, quantity calculations, and PS&E development.
- Utilize MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, Civil 3D, and related design software.
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with TxDOT and local agency standards.
Qualifications
- Open to CAD Technicians, EITs, and Professional Engineers (PEs) with roadway design experience.
- Experience working on TxDOT, municipal, and/or county roadway projects preferred.
- Proficiency with MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, Civil 3D, or similar design software.
- Strong understanding of roadway design standards, plan production, and project delivery.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Experience
- TxDOT roadway design and PS&E development.
- Municipal street, intersection, and corridor improvement projects.
- County roadway reconstruction and widening projects.
- Geometric roadway design, utility coordination, and construction plan preparation.
