Senior Project Manager (Roadway)

We are partnering with a well-established engineering consulting firm seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and grow its Roadway Department. This is a leadership-focused opportunity for an experienced PE who enjoys managing projects, developing staff, building client relationships, and driving the successful delivery of transportation infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage roadway and transportation projects from planning through delivery
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, and quality control standards
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to roadway design staff
- Manage client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders
- Coordinate with NCDOT and local agencies on project delivery
- Support business development efforts and help expand the firm's presence throughout North Carolina
- Review and contribute to roadway design plans when needed
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina
- 10+ years of experience delivering highway and transportation projects
- Proven experience managing NCDOT projects
- Strong project management and leadership experience
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor engineering teams
- Successful track record delivering roadway projects on schedule and within budget
- Proficiency with MicroStation, GEOPAK, and OpenRoads Designer
