Superintendent - Site Development
A growing civil construction company in the Northern Virginia area is seeking a full-time, long-term Superintendent to join its team. This role is based out of the company's Reston headquarters and involves managing multiple crews and job sites, overseeing daily operations, and maintaining strong communication with clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple crews and active job sites
- Read and interpret civil plans, proposals, and scope documents
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams
- Operate a transit for grade shooting and interpret cut sheets
- Know when to seek support and avoid tasks beyond expertise
Qualifications
- Skilled in operating excavators, skid steers, and bulldozers
- OSHA 30 certification
- Strong knowledge of site work and utility work
- Familiarity with regional county codes
- Safety-conscious and professional in client-facing situations
