A full service Envrionmental & Water Resources firm is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Air Quality Scientist or Engineer to join their growing team. 🌬️ About the Role:
As a Project Air Quality Scientist/Engineer, you'll support and lead air quality assessments, permitting, and emissions modeling projects. You'll collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to deliver technically sound and regulatory-compliant solutions.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct air emissions inventories and regulatory applicability analyses.
- Prepare air permit applications (NSR, Title V, PSD) and compliance reports.
- Perform air dispersion modeling (e.g., AERMOD, ISC-PRIME) and interpret results.
- Support environmental impact assessments and risk evaluations.
- Communicate technical findings clearly to clients and stakeholders.
- Stay current with evolving air quality regulations and guidance.
🎓 Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Atmospheric Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in air quality consulting, permitting, or regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with federal and state air regulations (e.g., EPA, state-specific rules).
- Experience with modeling tools such as AERMOD and ISC-PRIME, and emissions calculation software.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- EIT or PE license a plus, but not required.
