A industry leading general contractor is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Asphalt Paving Superintendent to join their growing team in the Tampa Bay area. This leadership role is ideal for a hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality paving projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily paving operations on-site.
- Manage crews, subcontractors, and equipment to ensure efficient workflow.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and materials.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, inspectors, and clients.
- Troubleshoot issues and implement solutions in real-time.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and daily reports.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in asphalt paving, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of DOT standards, paving equipment, and materials.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate field crews.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- OSHA certification preferred.
