This managerial‑level position offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of survey‑related projects using advanced technologies including laser scanning, robotics, GPS systems, and drone technology. Key Responsibilities
- Manage field operations for:
- Topographic surveys
- Subdivision development
- IDOT & Tollway projects
- Heavy highway design
- Bridge construction
- Architectural and large‑scale topographic surveys
- Construction layout and mapping
- Train and mentor Survey Interns on surveying principles, robotics, laser scanning, GIS systems, leveling, and measurement techniques
- Prepare survey plats, topographies, and boundary surveys
- Apply modern surveying technologies and best practices to ensure high‑quality results
Qualifications
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) or Land Surveyor In Training license in IL, IN, or WI
- Strong understanding of:
- Topographic & boundary surveys
- ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys
- Subdivisions
- Construction layout
- Easements & plats of vacation
- CAD/drafting competency and general computer/MS Office proficiency
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Positive, enthusiastic attitude with a commitment to quality work
