Civil Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Civil Engineer to join our growing Northwest Arkansas team. This role offers the opportunity to lead civil/site development projects, engage directly with clients and regional Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), and contribute to meaningful infrastructure and land development work in Bentonville and Fayetteville.

Key Responsibilities
Project & Technical Leadership
- Manage land and site development projects from concept through completion.
- Oversee technical design, quality control, and overall project performance.
- Produce complete civil design drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Conduct field investigations and prepare documentation under the supervision of the Project Manager.
Client & AHJ Engagement
- Serve as a primary interface with clients throughout project lifecycle.
- Coordinate directly with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), including ADH, ADEQ, and ArDOT.
- Attend construction meetings; handle RFIs, shop drawing reviews, and contractor coordination.
Business & Financial Management
- Participate in business development activities within designated target areas.
- Support development of team goals aligned with business objectives.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and financial performance.
Travel
- Some travel to job sites within Northwest Arkansas is required.
Required Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Arkansas, or ability to obtain within 12 months.
- BS in Civil Engineering (MS preferred).
- 3+ years of relevant civil/site development experience (5-8 years strongly preferred).
- Demonstrated experience managing civil/site development or public works projects.
- Strong technical design background and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational abilities.
- Thorough understanding of U.S. and local Arkansas design codes and standards.
- Required: Experience with Arkansas-specific design codes (ADH, ADEQ, ArDOT).
- Required: Local design experience in Bentonville or Fayetteville.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience leading project design efforts in Northwest Arkansas.
- Strong existing relationships with regional AHJs and contractors.
