The Commissioning Field Specialist 1 will be responsible for:
Leading on-site commissioning activities including inspection, validation, functional testing, and troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, and controls systems
Directing vendors and contractors during testing and startup activities
Developing commissioning plans, pre-functional checklists, and functional performance test scripts
Reviewing design documents, shop drawings, and specifications to identify and resolve discrepancies
Contributing to project reports, maintaining accurate logs, and supporting technical recommendations
Managing field-level execution with minimal supervision and assisting project leadership on complex scopes
The Commissioning Field Specialist 1 should have the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, or a related discipline
- or -
Two years of hands-on experience with mechanical, controls, or electrical infrastructure, plus five additional years of related experienceStrong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and controls systems
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and excellent organizational skills
Ability to travel up to 75% domestically; must reside near a major airport and meet REAL ID requirements for air travel
Ability to obtain NFPA 70E and OSHA 10/30 certifications as required
Capacity to work independently and remotely with effective communication and time management skills
Physical ability to navigate job sites, including confined spaces, ladders, and lifting up to 50 lbs
