Job Title: Control Engineer
Overview:
A dynamic and innovative automation team is seeking a skilled and driven Control Engineer to support the development of advanced packaging machinery. This role is ideal for a professional passionate about designing and programming cutting-edge control systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement PLC control systems for automated machinery.
- Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineering teams to deliver high-performance packaging solutions.
- Travel occasionally to customer sites for system commissioning and support.
- Troubleshoot and analyze control systems to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience in PLC and motion control programming for industrial systems.
- Proficiency in Rockwell platforms including CompactLogix, ControlLogix, and RSLogix.
- Experience with AutoCAD and electrical panel design.
- Strong project management, problem-solving, and hands-on troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with current trends in automation and instrumentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in packaging machinery.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Experience with SolidWorks.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a detail-oriented and reliable work ethic.
- Expertise in automation architecture design.
- Knowledge of Intrinsically Safe (Class 1 Division 1) design requirements.
