About the Role
We are seeking a PLC Programmer to join our team, specializing in automation systems for data centers. This position is remote, with occasional travel (approximately 15%) for project deployments and commissioning. You will design, program, and maintain PLC-based control systems that support HVAC, power distribution, and monitoring platforms within mission-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, test, and implement PLC programs for building automation and data center systems.
Integrate PLCs with SCADA, BMS, and visualization tools (e.g., Niagara, Distech, DG Lux).
Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to optimize system performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues to minimize downtime.
Document workflows, configurations, and system changes for compliance and audits.
Support commissioning and handover of new data center projects.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a PLC Programmer (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, or similar).
Strong knowledge of industrial automation, building controls, and communication protocols (Modbus, BACnet, OPC).
Experience in mission-critical environments such as data centers, hospitals, or large-scale facilities.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Willingness to travel up to 15% for project deployments and commissioning.
