Director of Transmission & Interconnection
A leading renewable developer is looking to bring on a Director of Transmission & Interconnection to join the team! This position will head up the Transmission Interconnection group, working on utility-scale solar and BESS projects across the US, with the ability to work fully remote anywhere within the US.
The Director of Transmission & Interconnection will be responsible for:
- Managing the interconnection queue/process for utility-scale solar and battery storage projects
- Collaborating with internal teams (development, engineering, construction, etc.)
- Managing external consultants & reviewing technical studies in PSSE, TARA, and PROMOD
- Coordinating between internal and external stakeholders
The Director of Transmission & Interconnection should have the following qualifications:
- 5-10+ years of direct industry experience in transmission/interconnection
- Experience working in and managing interconnection processes in one or more ISO/RTO (ERCOT, NYISO, ISO-NE, MISO, SPP, CAISO, or WECC)
- Previous technical experience running power flow studies
- Knowledge of RTO/utility tariffs/procedures & NERC/FERC regulations
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
