Electrical Engineer
As an Electrical Engineer, you will support a variety of industrial projects-ranging from facility upgrades to new system installations-while collaborating closely with internal engineering teams and client stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include:
Design & Technical Responsibilities
- Develop electrical power, lighting, and grounding system designs for industrial facilities
- Prepare engineering calculations, load studies, arc flash studies, and short-circuit analysis
- Produce construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work
- Support the creation of one-line diagrams, panel schedules, cable schedules, and equipment layouts
- Review vendor drawings, equipment data sheets, and submittals
Project Execution & Coordination
- Work closely with project managers, designers, and other engineering disciplines to ensure alignment across all project phases
- Coordinate with clients during design reviews, site meetings, and field assessments
- Provide technical guidance during construction, commissioning, and startup
- Assist with estimating, project planning, and defining technical requirements
Field Support
- Conduct site walkdowns to verify existing electrical infrastructure and gather design data
- Perform field troubleshooting, system verification, and as-built documentation
- Ensure designs are compatible with real-world conditions in operating industrial environments
Your Background & Qualifications
We're looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys both design and field interaction. Ideal candidates bring:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar technical discipline)
- 3-8+ years of electrical engineering experience in industrial or manufacturing facilities
- Strong understanding of the NEC and relevant industry standards
- Experience with power distribution (480V and below), lighting, grounding, and equipment selection
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, SKM, ETAP, or similar design/analysis tools
Preferred
- Experience working on capital projects in chemical, manufacturing, food & beverage, or related industries
- Familiarity with instrumentation, control systems, or electrical construction methods
- Ability to lead small tasks, support junior team members, and coordinate with clients
- EIT or PE license (or interest in obtaining)
