Electrical Engineer

  • Lead engineering, analysis, and design of medium and low voltage power systems for large industrial facilities.
  • Interpret design drawings, technical specifications, and project requirements to develop calculations, engineering evaluations, and construction deliverables.
  • Review and prepare electrical drawings including one line diagrams, three line diagrams, block diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, plans, and panel or cable schedules.
  • Conduct site walkdowns to identify design solutions and develop practical, cost effective recommendations.
  • Manage electrical engineering schedules and budgets, coordinate drafters, prepare reports, and perform quality checks on internally and externally produced work.
  • Develop capital cost estimates for electrical scope.
  • Collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines across offices to support integrated project execution.
  • Evaluate existing operations and proposed changes for compliance with engineering standards and applicable regulations.
  • Build and analyze power system models for short circuit, load flow, relay coordination, and arc flash studies using software such as EasyPower, SKM, or ETAP.
  • Perform lighting design and modeling using appropriate tools.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Licensed PE in Electrical, Controls, or Instrumentation preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline.
  • Strong proficiency producing calculations and complete electrical construction drawing packages.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects at once with sound technical judgment.
  • Ability to guide, review, and maintain quality of technical work completed by others.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel.
  • Comfortable working independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal and client facing work.
  • Experience with VFDs, motor control, unit substations, switchgear, standby generators, UPS systems, and PLC hardware.
  • Knowledge of NEC requirements and relevant IEEE standards.
  • Ability to navigate stairs, ladders, and outdoor environments during site visits.
  • Ability to conduct walkdowns across industrial client sites in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to travel approximately five to ten percent of the time, with trip duration dependent on project needs.
