Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to lead and deliver complex transmission and substation projects that support grid modernization and renewable integration. This role combines technical depth with project leadership, offering the opportunity to work on high-impact initiatives that shape the future of the power system.


What You'll Do

  • Lead project execution: Manage electrical engineering scope for transmission and substation projects from concept through commissioning.
  • Design and analysis: Develop detailed electrical designs, including one-line diagrams, equipment specifications, and protection schemes.
  • Technical leadership: Perform advanced power system studies (load flow, short circuit, stability, and protection coordination) using industry-standard tools.
  • Ensure compliance: Apply NERC, IEEE, and regional standards to ensure reliability and regulatory adherence.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Coordinate with utilities, developers, and internal teams to align technical requirements and project milestones.
  • Mentor junior engineers: Provide guidance and technical review to support team development.

What We're Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • Experience: 5-8 years in transmission engineering, substation design, or related project work.
  • Strong knowledge of transmission planning principles, protection systems, and equipment ratings.
  • Proficiency with power system analysis tools (e.g., PSS®E, PowerWorld, ASPEN, ETAP).
  • Familiarity with project management practices and ability to manage budgets and schedules.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions with clients and stakeholders.

Preferred Attributes

  • PE license or ability to obtain one.
  • Experience with renewable energy integration and grid modernization projects.
  • Knowledge of SCADA, relay settings, and control systems.
