EMS, SCADA & Protection Engineering Manager
We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Engineering Manager to lead our EMS (Energy Management Systems), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), and Protection Engineering teams. This leadership role is critical to ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our operational technology systems supporting generation, transmission, and distribution networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of EMS and SCADA systems across the enterprise.
- Lead the development of protection engineering strategies, standards, and workflows for transmission and generation assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, operations, and field engineering to ensure seamless integration and performance of control systems.
- Manage a team of engineers and technical specialists, providing mentorship, performance feedback, and professional development.
- Ensure compliance with NERC CIP, IEEE, and other regulatory standards.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in system architecture, cybersecurity, and automation.
- Support capital planning, budgeting, and resource allocation for engineering initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in EMS, SCADA, and protection engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of power system operations, protection schemes, and control system integration.
- Familiarity with industry platforms such as GE, Siemens, SEL, or OSI.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- PE license and/or PMP certification is a plus.
