Overview
A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Senior Energy Analyst to join its Environmental Sustainability team. This role focuses on energy data analysis, carbon emissions tracking, and supporting sustainability initiatives across a large network of facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as subject matter expert for energy analysis
- Measure performance of sustainability initiatives using baselines and action plans
- Communicate energy reporting results to stakeholders
- Conduct trend and variance analysis using utility and emissions data
- Review utility consumption and cost fluctuations
- Maintain and support PowerBI dashboards related to energy use
- Assist with carbon emissions calculations and variance reviews
- Ensure data quality standards and effective control systems
- Drive process and technology improvements
- Stay current with regulatory and reporting standards
- Collaborate across diverse teams and leadership levels
- Promote efficiency and automation in reporting tasks
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of reported data
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to prioritize and independently solve problems
- Results-driven with strong accountability and leadership through change
- Advanced analytical skills and financial modeling capabilities
- Understanding of financial and environmental data management
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with data systems and reporting tools (e.g., PowerBI)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Engineering, or related field
- Master's degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in energy reporting, operations, or sustainability
- Knowledge of energy markets and pricing structures
- Understanding of facility operations and energy cost drivers
- Experience in energy auditing, management, or controls
- Preferred certifications: Certified Energy Auditor (CEA), Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
- Occasional travel may be required
