A respected General Contractor based in Coos Bay, OR is seeking an experienced Estimator with a background in heavy civil and/or marine construction. This is a full-time opportunity to join a team known for delivering high-quality infrastructure projects throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed cost estimates for heavy civil and marine construction projects.
- Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare accurate bids.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather pricing and scope information.
- Conduct site visits and assessments as needed.
- Maintain and update historical cost data and estimating tools.
- Participate in bid reviews and client presentations.
Experience Required
- Minimum of 5 years estimating experience in heavy civil and/or marine construction.
- Demonstrated success in bidding public and private sector projects.
- Experience with bridges, piers, docks, dredging, shoreline stabilization, or similar scopes.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal contracting requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as HCSS HeavyBid, Timberline, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of construction methods and materials.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
