Location: New York, NY (Hybrid or Onsite)
Compensation: $100,000-$120,000 base salary (commensurate with experience)

Overview

A leading renewable energy and energy storage platform in North America is seeking a Finance Associate to join its growing Finance team. The firm owns and operates a multigigawatt portfolio of clean energy assets and maintains a strong development pipeline across multiple markets. The organization is actively investing in the energy transition through innovation, strategic growth, and disciplined capital deployment.

This role is well suited for a finance professional with strong financial modeling and analytical skills who thrives in a fast‑paced, transaction-oriented environment. The Associate will work cross‑functionally with teams spanning Finance, M&A, Development, and Strategy and will have direct exposure to complex investment and financing transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain financial, valuation, and market models supporting M&A, corporate development, financing, and strategic initiatives
  • Prepare investment memoranda, lender/investor presentations, and other transaction-related materials
  • Coordinate and manage due diligence processes with internal teams and external advisors
  • Support the preparation and ongoing maintenance of internal forecasts, budgets, and long-range projections
  • Monitor market trends, policy developments, and competitive dynamics within the renewable energy sector
  • Evaluate and screen potential acquisition and merger opportunities, including valuation and supporting analyses
  • Communicate insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and other internal stakeholders
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in Finance, M&A, corporate development, or investment analysis (renewable energy experience strongly preferred)
  • Advanced financial modeling skills; experience with project finance or tax equity modeling is a plus but not required
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and perform effectively in a deadline-driven environment
