About the Role
As a Geotechnical Project Manager, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of geotechnical engineering projects. This position requires strong technical expertise combined with leadership skills to manage multidisciplinary teams and maintain client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Manage geotechnical investigations, design, and analysis for foundations, retaining walls, slope stability, and pavement systems.
- Technical Oversight: Prepare and review geotechnical reports, calculations, and design recommendations ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Client Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing technical guidance and ensuring project objectives are met.
- Team Management: Mentor junior engineers and field staff, fostering professional growth and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Budget & Scheduling: Develop proposals, manage budgets, monitor timelines, and ensure projects are delivered on schedule.
- Field Coordination: Oversee drilling operations, sampling programs, and construction materials testing for earthwork, concrete, and pavements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical focus); Master's preferred.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license strongly preferred.
- 7+ years of geotechnical engineering experience, with at least 3 years in project management.
- Proficiency in geotechnical analysis software and familiarity with local geology.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
