An established heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee sitework, earthwork, utilities, and infrastructure projects from pre‑construction through closeout. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives on planning, coordination, and delivering high‑quality results.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of heavy civil projects, including scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, and field oversight.
- Lead project planning, cost control, and progress tracking to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Review drawings, specifications, and change orders; identify and mitigate risks.
- Communicate regularly with owners, engineers, field teams, and stakeholders.
- Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Prepare and review project reports, RFIs, documentation, and closeout materials.
Qualifications
- 5-10+ years of project management experience in heavy civil, sitework, or infrastructure construction.
- Strong understanding of earthwork, utilities, roadwork, and site development.
- Proficiency with construction management software and project scheduling tools.
- Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and project phases simultaneously.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
