ITASCA | Transportation Engineer
- Manage all phases of transportation projects, from initial planning through final construction.
- Lead technical design efforts for roadway geometry, utilities, drainage systems, and traffic control plans.
- Perform hydraulic modeling and traffic analysis, including traffic signal design and maintenance of traffic strategies.
- Ensure design plans meet federal, state, and local standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with municipal clients, state agencies, and utility providers to coordinate project details and approvals.
- Represent the firm at industry events and public meetings to enhance visibility and support community engagement.
Qualifications & Desired Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in transportation or roadway design.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Illinois.
- Proven experience with roadway design for municipalities, counties, and IDOT projects.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation, along with strong skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities with a collaborative mindset.
