Junior Structural Engineer
A well regarded structural engineering firm in Southern California is looking for a Junior Engineer to join a collaborative, growth minded team. The group is known for strong technical mentorship, a fluid workflow, and steady exposure to a wide range of building types. You will work closely with senior engineers who invest time in developing younger staff and give you early ownership where it makes sense. The environment is organized, team oriented, and designed to help new engineers build confidence across analysis, design, and field work.
Responsibilities
- Support structural design and analysis for commercial, residential, and specialty projects
- Prepare calculations, assist with plan sets, and develop technical documentation
- Coordinate with senior engineers, project managers, and external partners
- Participate in site visits and help prepare observation reports
- Contribute to internal quality checks and project delivery workflows
Qualifications
- BS in Civil or Structural Engineering
- One to three years of experience in structural design
- Familiarity with common analysis tools such as ETABS, RISA, or SAP2000
- Strong fundamentals and interest in building design
- EIT preferred or actively pursuing
