LVI is exclusively working with a leading national full-service engineering firm that offers the chance to make a real impact on the communities and work on projects across various offices. This client is looking for a talented engineer who has extensive land development experience to join them in their Northern Virginia office.
This project manager will have technical design and project management experience in land development - residential and commercial development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on land development projects.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and related design tools.
- Deep understanding of local regulations, zoning, and permitting processes.
- Proven leadership and project management skills with the ability to manage budgets, timelines, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client management abilities.
Brief Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all phases of land development projects, from conceptual planning through construction support.
- Oversee the preparation of site layout, grading, stormwater management, and utility design plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, agencies, and consultants, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Guide and mentor a team of engineers and designers, fostering technical growth and collaborative problem-solving.
- Prepare project proposals, scopes, budgets, and schedules.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies to secure permits and approvals.
- Drive business development by maintaining client relationships and identifying new opportunities.
