Our client, a long-standing and widely respected leader in engineering, surveying, and industrial project delivery, is seeking a Land Surveyor to support complex survey operations and contribute to high‑quality project execution across multiple market sectors. Known for delivering precise field data, intelligent spatial solutions, and dependable technical expertise, this team plays a critical role in supporting large‑scale industrial, infrastructure, and site development programs nationwide.

The Land Surveyor will be responsible for:
Preparing proposal scopes, schedules, deliverables, manhour estimates, and project qualifications
Developing and maintaining operating procedures, workflows, and QA/QC standards
Mentoring and training surveying and scanning team members to ensure consistent, high‑quality project execution
Traveling to client sites to support formal presentations and represent the firm with professionalism and client‑focused communication
Performing topographic, boundary, construction, sub‑surface utility, benchmarking, and post‑construction surveys
Providing construction staking for site layouts, facilities, structures, roadways, grading, drainage features, easements, rail elements, and flood elevation certificates
Implementing building control and executing laser scanning capture and post‑processing tasks
Performing layout and validation activities using robotic total stations to support field QA/QC
Coordinating and overseeing drone surveys, including quantity and volume assessments
Planning and performing layout set-out and back‑check tasks
Executing precise instrument set‑ups, including known backsight and multi‑point resections
Assisting with development of construction drawings and record documentation
Working closely with project managers, design engineers, and CAD technicians to coordinate design changes and space configuration updates
Conducting in‑process quality control of survey field activities and calculations
Preparing field notes, sketches, and technical documentation
Signing and sealing surveys, maps, and related documents as required

The ideal candidate will have:
An entrepreneurial mindset and a strong desire to add meaningful value to clients through technical excellence
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem solving
Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license
Proficiency with GPS, robotic, and total station survey equipment
Experience with survey data collection, organization, and workflow management
Experience with LiDAR scanning equipment and related processing software
Proficiency importing survey data into AutoCAD
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ArcGIS Pro
A foundational understanding of GIS datasets, geodatabases, and map layer development
