Phoenix/Tucson | Senior Hydrogeologist
A leading Environmental Consulting firm dedicated to addressing complex environmental challenges, with a reputation for technical excellence is looking to bring on a seasoned Senior or Principal Level Hydrogeologist.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage groundwater modeling projects, including conceptual site model development, numerical modeling, and data analysis.
- Design and oversee site characterization, remediation, and monitoring programs for contaminated sites.
- Provide expert guidance on federal project requirements, regulations, and compliance standards (e.g., CERCLA, RCRA, or NEPA).
- Serve as a technical lead and mentor for junior staff, fostering professional growth and knowledge sharing.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor for hydrogeological and environmental challenges.
- Prepare high-quality technical reports, proposals, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support business development efforts, including proposal writing and identifying new opportunities within the federal and private sectors.
Qualifications
- Education: Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of professional experience in groundwater modeling, site contamination, and federal projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in groundwater modeling software (e.g., MODFLOW, GMS, or FEFLOW), geostatistical analysis, and GIS tools.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of hydrogeological principles, contaminant transport, and federal environmental regulations.
- Leadership: Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams and complex projects.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information effectively.
- Certifications: Professional Geologist (PG) (RG) or equivalent licensure highly preferred.
