Role Overview

As a Principal Geotechnical Engineer, you will lead complex geotechnical projects across a range of sectors including transportation, energy, water, and major infrastructure. You will provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions that exceed client expectations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage geotechnical investigations, design, and analysis for major infrastructure projects.
  • Provide technical oversight and quality assurance on geotechnical deliverables.
  • Develop and review geotechnical design reports, risk assessments, and specifications.
  • Collaborate with civil, structural, and environmental teams to integrate geotechnical solutions.
  • Serve as a key client liaison, building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Support business development through proposal writing, bid preparation, and client presentations.
  • Mentor and develop junior and mid-level geotechnical staff.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, health and safety regulations, and company policies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering (Master's or PhD preferred).
  • Professional Engineer (P.E) status in Georgia.
  • Minimum 12 years of geotechnical engineering experience, with a strong portfolio of major project delivery.
  • Expertise in soil-structure interaction, foundation design, slope stability, ground improvement, and geotechnical risk management.
  • Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio, gINT, SLOPE/W).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
