Job Title: Principal Mechanical Design Engineer

Position Summary
The Principal Mechanical Design Engineer will lead the design and development of complex mechanical systems for building projects. This role involves managing engineering teams, providing technical expertise, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management
- Set department objectives and align them with organizational goals.
- Mentor and manage engineering staff, including training and performance reviews.
Design & Technical Expertise
- Develop conceptual and detailed mechanical designs for HVAC, plumbing, and related systems.
- Perform advanced calculations for load analysis, equipment sizing, and system performance.
- Ensure adherence to engineering standards and best practices.
Project Execution
- Oversee design phases and ensure successful delivery of project milestones.
- Conduct site inspections and resolve design issues during construction.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
Licenses & Certifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Experience:
- Minimum 12 years of relevant experience, including leadership roles.
- Expertise in HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems design.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in CADD and Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams effectively.
