Professional Land Surveyor
A nationally recognized civil engineering firm is growing its field and office survey teams in Illinois and is currently seeking a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to join its Naperville office. Renowned for a robust pipeline of boundary, topographic, and construction staking projects, the firm supports a wide range of residential, commercial, and infrastructure developments.
Position Overview:
As a PLS, you will play a key role in delivering precise land measurements and reliable data to support engineering, construction, and land development initiatives. Your technical expertise and leadership will be instrumental in upholding the firm's reputation for excellence.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee and execute boundary, topographic, and construction staking projects.
- Lead and mentor field and office survey teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Perform calculations, analyze data, and prepare client reports.
- Ensure all work complies with state and local surveying regulations.
- Foster strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in land surveying.
- Active PLS license in the state of Illinois.
- Proven experience with boundary, topographic, and construction staking projects.
- Proficiency with GPS, total stations, and industry-standard survey software.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
