Project Engineer - Low Voltage Power Generation
A growing and dynamic consulting engineering firm is seeking a Project Engineer to focus on low voltage projects for its Power Generation group.
The successful candidate will have a systematic approach to problem solving with a high attention to detail.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and implement low voltage electrical systems for Power Generation projects.
- Conduct detailed electrical calculations and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Collaborate with designers, contractors, and other team members to develop electrical plans and specifications.
- Review project drawings and provide technical guidance on low voltage electrical systems.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure proper installation and functioning of low voltage electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to low voltage electrical systems.
- Participate in commissioning and testing of low voltage electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills; effective oral and written communication.
- 0-4 years experience in industry or related field.
- Preferred: 5+ years experience, EIT or PE in the State of Texas.
Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional computer skills, with emphasis on project management, spreadsheets, and word processing.
- Strong time management, organizational, and multi-tasking abilities.
- Proficient in AutoCAD (preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical Requirements
Ability to listen and hear, good eyesight, sitting, standing, walking, and use of hands and arms.
