Senior Civil Engineer
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will serve as a technical leader across all phases of renewable energy projects from development and design to execution. You'll be responsible for shaping civil designs, coordinating with engineering partners, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Your expertise will help bring complex renewable infrastructure projects to life.
Key Responsibilities
Project Design & Review: Lead conceptual and detailed civil design efforts, including site grading, access roads, and drainage systems. Review engineering packages and ensure alignment with project requirements and standards.
Technical Oversight & Coordination: Supervise external Engineers of Record, manage technical documentation, and coordinate civil engineering deliverables across project phases.
Vendor & Procurement Support: Evaluate civil-related vendor proposals, stay informed on industry innovations, and provide recommendations that balance cost, performance, and compliance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams including Engineering, Estimating, Procurement, and Construction to ensure seamless project execution and represent civil engineering in technical discussions.
Compliance & Continuous Improvement: Ensure adherence to regulatory codes and internal policies, support construction teams with technical guidance, and contribute to process and tool enhancements.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure or renewable energy projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
Preferred:
- Familiarity with Procore and PVcase
- Professional Engineer (PE) License
