A well-established, nationally recognized multidisciplinary engineering firm is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its growing Southeast team. Key Responsibilities
- Design and lead the development of electrical systems for a wide range of projects
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring budget, schedule, and quality goals are met
- Lead and mentor junior engineers and designers
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across civil, mechanical, structural, and other disciplines
- Develop technical proposals and participate in business development efforts
- Interface directly with clients, architects, contractors, and stakeholders
- Review and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (NEC, IEEE, NESC, IECC, etc.)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- 10-15 years of experience in electrical engineering design, preferably within consulting
- Strong background in power distribution and building systems design
- Experience within industrial, healthcare, higher education, federal, or commercial sectors
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical modeling software (SKM, ETAP, or similar)
- Proven project management experience
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Preferred (Not Required):
- Lighting design experience
- Exposure to telecom, A/V, security, or cybersecurity systems
- Local industry involvement and relationships
- Familiarity working with local authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs)
