Will be responsible for:
- Identify and evaluate suitable sites for new energy projects.
- Select appropriate technologies and develop plant design concepts.
- Manage technical requirements for grid interconnection.
- Support permitting efforts with accurate technical documentation.
- Provide engineering input during project financing and due diligence.
- Handoff technical deliverables to the construction team and offer support through the build phase.
- Work in close partnership with the Manager of Engineering to drive technical direction and execution for projects involving CCGT, SCGT, reciprocating engines, solar PV, energy storage, and other innovative technologies
The Senior Engineer should have the following qualifications...
- B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, Facilities or similar engineering
- 8+ years of relevant work experience, operation, design, and infrastructure interconnection of power plants
- Well-versed in transmission planning standards + FERC interconnection process.
- Hands-on experience in power plant system design, including thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid system principles.
- Familiarity with industry-standard codes and regulations for power plants, such as IBC, NEC, ASME, NFPA.
- Experience in facility design drawings-piping and instrument diagrams
- Skilled in facility design drawings, including P&IDs, civil/structural plans, electrical one‑lines, wiring schedules, and SCADA diagrams
