I'm currently working with a well-established and growing consultancy that's looking to bring on a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to support their expanding portfolio of residential and land development projects across Southeast Queensland.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong and commercially minded engineer who's ready to take ownership of projects, mentor junior staff, and work closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
About the Role
You'll be leading geotechnical investigations and delivering practical, high-quality solutions for residential subdivisions, infrastructure, and land development projects. The role offers a mix of technical leadership, client engagement, and mentoring responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead geotechnical investigations and reporting
- Provide expert input on site classification, foundation systems, slope stability, and earthworks
- Collaborate with clients, councils, and internal teams to deliver timely, cost-effective outcomes
- Review and sign off on technical reports and documentation
- Support and mentor junior engineers and field staff
- Ensure compliance with relevant Australian standards and local regulations
About You
- Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 10-15 years of relevant experience, ideally in residential and land development
- CPEng and RPEQ accreditation (essential)
- Strong technical background in soil mechanics and foundation design
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive, solutions-oriented approach
