Responsibilities:

  • Develop mechanical layout drawings using 3D modeling tools.
  • Design mechanical systems and troubleshoot design challenges.
  • Coordinate detailed design phases and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Prepare general arrangements, piping isometrics, composites, pipe support drawings, and equipment location drawings.
  • Conduct field walkdowns and collect data at project sites.
  • Mentor junior designers and provide guidance on drafting tools and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • U.S. work authorization required (no sponsorship available).
  • Associate's degree in drafting or equivalent technical experience.
  • 12+ years of experience in mechanical design, including piping systems and supports.
  • Proficiency in 3D plant layout modeling software.
  • Ability to review mechanical equipment outlines and interface points.
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-disciplinary teams.

Preferred:

  • Experience with MicroStation.
  • Familiarity with laser scanning and point cloud integration.
