Responsibilities:
- Develop mechanical layout drawings using 3D modeling tools.
- Design mechanical systems and troubleshoot design challenges.
- Coordinate detailed design phases and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Prepare general arrangements, piping isometrics, composites, pipe support drawings, and equipment location drawings.
- Conduct field walkdowns and collect data at project sites.
- Mentor junior designers and provide guidance on drafting tools and best practices.
Qualifications:
- U.S. work authorization required (no sponsorship available).
- Associate's degree in drafting or equivalent technical experience.
- 12+ years of experience in mechanical design, including piping systems and supports.
- Proficiency in 3D plant layout modeling software.
- Ability to review mechanical equipment outlines and interface points.
- Strong collaboration skills with cross-disciplinary teams.
Preferred:
- Experience with MicroStation.
- Familiarity with laser scanning and point cloud integration.
