Responsibilities:
- Provides leadership and direction to a team of designers on complex, large-scale projects.
- Tracks long-term project timelines and ensures timely delivery of all milestones.
- Reviews and ensures quality control of work completed by junior design staff.
- Serves as the primary representative for plumbing design in meetings with stakeholders, including owners, general contractors, and regulatory authorities.
- Demonstrates strong project management capabilities, including budget oversight, forecasting, and change order management.
- Coordinates and manages multiple designers to ensure alignment with project goals, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Prepares detailed calculations, drawings, and specifications for fire suppression and detection systems on major projects.
- Oversees all phases of plumbing design projects, including layout planning, permit acquisition, field surveys, coordination, fabrication list development, field support, RFI generation, and as-built documentation.
- Operates with general supervision while exercising sound judgment and discretion.
- Makes informed decisions by evaluating issues and determining appropriate courses of action.
- May provide project-based supervision to a small team of engineers and/or technicians.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Associate's Degree preferred
