Senior Project Engineer

Position Overview

This role serves as a subject matter expert for assigned products and processes, with a focus on plate and frame filter press technologies. Responsibilities include leading product development initiatives, enhancing existing product lines, and providing technical guidance across engineering teams.

The position also involves overseeing projects executed by junior engineers or direct reports, ensuring delivery against schedule, budget, and performance expectations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Act as subject matter expert for assigned product lines, including development of new offerings and optimization of existing technologies
  • Evaluate product modifications and prioritize projects based on commercial impact and feasibility
  • Lead and support project execution, ensuring alignment with timeline and budget requirements
  • Provide technical guidance across design, engineering calculations, manufacturing, and testing
  • Develop accurate, compliant technical documentation in line with internal standards
  • Support and mentor junior engineering staff

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, or related)
  • 3-5+ years of experience with plate and frame filter presses or similar dewatering/filtration technologies
  • Strong general business and commercial awareness

Work Environment

  • Primarily office-based with a combination of desk and computer work (~80%)
  • Flexibility to accommodate varying work schedules as needed

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 (depending on experience)
