Senior Project Manager - Mechanical Construction (Charlotte, NC)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large, complex mechanical construction projects in the Charlotte region. This role is ideal for a hands‑on, strategic leader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and excels at delivering high‑quality work from pre‑construction through closeout.


What You'll Do

  • Lead major mechanical construction projects or multiple concurrent projects, ensuring delivery on schedule, within budget, and to required quality standards.
  • Oversee pre‑construction planning, scheduling, procurement, and project execution.
  • Coordinate closely with field teams, subcontractors, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Review and manage project budgets, cost forecasts, and resource allocation.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, fostering a collaborative, safety‑focused work environment.
  • Manage subcontractor relationships, negotiate scopes, and oversee contract administration.
  • Identify and resolve design, coordination, and logistical challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain high standards of safety, quality, documentation, and reporting.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical construction project management or a related field.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proven experience managing mechanical systems such as HVAC, piping, plumbing, or industrial mechanical installations.
  • Demonstrated success overseeing complex project schedules, budgets, and subcontractor operations.
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
  • A proactive, adaptable, and team‑oriented mindset.
