Senior Project Manager T&D Construction
Salary Band: $150,000 - $190,000 + performance-based incentives
Senior-level project management leadership for large-scale Transmission & Distribution construction programs. Accountable for full lifecycle delivery of complex utility infrastructure projects with direct responsibility for cost, schedule, risk, and performance outcomes. Operates as the primary owner of financial controls, execution strategy, and stakeholder alignment.
- Lead end-to-end execution of high-voltage transmission and electric distribution construction projects.
- Establish and manage Earned Value Management (EVM) systems to track cost, schedule, productivity, and forecast accuracy.
- Develop and maintain integrated project schedules; drive critical path analysis and recovery plans.
- Own project cost management: estimating, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and change control.
- Direct field and office teams to ensure adherence to scope, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and engineering partners to maintain schedule and cost discipline.
- Provide executive-level reporting on project performance, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with utility standards, construction best practices, and contractual obligations.
- Proactively identify risks and implement corrective actions to protect margin and delivery commitments.
- 10+ years of progressive experience managing Transmission & Distribution construction projects.
- Demonstrated expertise in Earned Value Management and cost control on large, multi-million-dollar programs.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Deep understanding of utility construction methods, sequencing, and regulatory environments.
- Experience managing complex schedules, multiple crews, and concurrent workstreams.
- Industry-leading knowledge of T&D construction practices.
- Advanced cost management and financial acumen.
- Schedule development, analysis, and recovery execution.
- Strong leadership, accountability, and decision-making under pressure.
- Executive communication and stakeholder management capability.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- PMP or equivalent professional certification strongly valued.
