Speculative | Civil Engineer - Public Works, Denver CO
We are working with a client who is seeking a multidisciplinary engineering firm is seeking a Civil Engineer to support its Public Works practice. This role works under the direction of a licensed Civil Engineer and contributes to the planning, design, and delivery of a wide range of municipal infrastructure projects. The position offers exposure to both technical design and project management responsibilities within a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Public Works Design
- Assist in the design of public municipal projects, including:
- Street reconstruction and roadway improvements
- Roundabout design
- Educational facilities
- Trails, parks, and public space improvements
Project Management Support
- Support overall project management efforts, including:
- Budget tracking and cost control
- Schedule coordination
- Quality control of Public Works deliverables
Client & Team Collaboration
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Coordinate with internal project teams to ensure design quality and consistency
- Participate in project meetings and stakeholder coordination
Technical Contributions
- Prepare engineering plans and technical design documents
- Apply engineering standards and best practices across a variety of project types
- Support quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes
Minimum Qualifications
- 3-5 years of post‑licensure experience in civil engineering
- B.S. in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Licensed Civil Engineer (PE required)
- Working knowledge of:
- Plan preparation
- Engineering design for municipal infrastructure projects
