A well-established engineering and infrastructure consulting firm is seeking a Substation Construction SME to support its growing portfolio of utility projects. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with extensive field experience in substation construction and a strong understanding of utility infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the subject matter expert for substation construction projects from initiation through completion.
- Lead and coordinate field operations, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and project timelines.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Travel to project sites within the region (primarily near St. Louis) approximately 50% of the time.
Qualifications
- 5-10+ years of direct experience in substation construction or related utility infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, field coordination, and safety protocols.
- Proven leadership and communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel regionally as needed.
