Survey Project Manager

A respected and growing firm is seeking a skilled Survey Project Manager to lead a variety of land surveying projects, including construction staking, boundary surveys, ALTA, and topographic mapping. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise, the ability to mentor crew members, and a commitment to quality, safety, and communication.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare boundaries, ALTA's, topography, and construction stake outs
  • Manage projects from initiation through completion, including scope, schedule, and client coordination
  • Conduct courthouse research and prepare legal descriptions
  • Perform construction staking calculations
  • Participate in fieldwork as needed
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant land surveying experience
  • Licensure as a Land Surveyor in Virginia, or the ability to obtain licensure (preferred but not required)
  • Proficiency in total station and GPS in both static and RTK modes surveying activities pertaining to control networks, boundaries, ALTA's, topography, and construction staking.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prepare fee proposals and maintain client relationships
