Surveyor
We are working with a client who is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Land Surveyor to support construction and land development projects across Colorado. This role involves conducting surveys, preparing legal documentation, and collaborating with engineers, planners, and developers to ensure accurate site data and boundary determinations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and construction surveys.
- Prepare site plans, plats, legal descriptions, and survey reports.
- Operate and maintain survey equipment including GPS, total stations, and data collectors.
- Research land records, titles, and previous surveys to verify property boundaries.
- Analyze survey data and ensure compliance with local and state regulations.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to support project planning and execution.
- Establish and maintain survey control networks.
- Assist in resolving boundary disputes and preparing documentation for legal proceedings if needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in the State of Colorado (or ability to obtain).
- 3+ years of experience in land surveying, preferably in construction or land development.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and survey data processing software.
- Strong understanding of Colorado surveying laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with drone/UAV surveying and LiDAR.
- Familiarity with municipal permitting and zoning processes.
- Ability to mentor junior survey staff and manage small teams.
