What You'll Do
- Support planning studies: Assist in performing power flow, contingency, and reliability analyses to evaluate transmission system performance.
- Collaborate with experts: Work alongside senior engineers and planners to develop solutions for system constraints and future load growth.
- Contribute to innovation: Help identify opportunities for grid enhancements that enable renewable integration and maintain reliability.
- Stay organized: Prepare reports, maintain planning documentation, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Learn and grow: Gain hands-on experience with advanced modeling tools and planning methodologies.
What We're Looking For
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field.
- Experience: 1-3 years in transmission planning, power systems analysis, or related utility/RTO/ISO work.
- Familiarity with transmission planning principles and regulatory frameworks.
- Exposure to power system analysis tools (e.g., PSS®E, PowerWorld) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn.
