About the Role:
We are actively seeking experienced Transmission Planning Engineers to join a dynamic and growing team on a fulltime basis. This opportunity is ideal for engineers with a strong technical foundation and leadership potential, who are eager to support utilities, ISOs, and consulting projects nationwide.
You'll work with a firm that values expertise, offers flexibility (remote work), and supports career growth - including leadership and business development responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed transmission planning studies including load flow, short-circuit, and stability analysis.
Perform steady-state, dynamic, and transient stability studies using PSS/E, TARA, and PSCAD
Develop technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with utilities, ISOs, and consultants on various transmission and distribution planning projects.
Take a leadership role in project teams, with opportunities to assist in business development and client relationship management.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in transmission planning.
Strong experience with the following software:
Transmission: PSS/E (required), TARA, PSCAD.
Background in utility or consulting environments strongly preferred.
Ability to work independently, lead small project teams, and interact with clients.
Strong communication skills and technical writing abilities.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
Nice to Have:
Previous experience in business development or client-facing roles.
Project management skills or aspirations to grow into leadership roles.
