Transportation Project Manager
Position Overview:
A growing civil engineering firm is seeking a Transportation Project Manager to lead and manage transportation infrastructure projects in the Indianapolis area. This role involves overseeing project design, managing client relationships, and mentoring junior staff while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage transportation projects from planning through construction.
- Prepare project proposals, budgets, and schedules.
- Oversee the development of roadway design plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams.
- Provide quality control and ensure compliance with INDOT standards and specifications.
- Mentor and develop junior engineering staff.
- Support business development efforts and client engagement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Indiana or ability to obtain.
- 6+ years of experience in transportation engineering and project management.
- Strong knowledge of INDOT standards, specifications, and permitting processes.
- Proficiency in MicroStation, GEOPAK, and other relevant design software.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
