Water Infrastructure Engineer - All Levels

We are an internationally recognized civil and engineering firm specializing in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities. We are seeking engineers at all experience levels to join our infrastructure team in Georgia.

Our infrastructure engineers work on challenging projects outside of treatment plants, including:

  • Planning and design of water/wastewater pipelines
  • Pump stations
  • Trenchless pipelines
  • Pipeline seismic retrofits
  • Deep wastewater pump stations
  • River intakes
  • And other diverse infrastructure projects

Responsibilities

Entry-Level Engineer:

  • Assist in planning, design, construction, and/or commissioning of water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects
  • Perform data entry and analysis
  • Conduct system modeling and hydraulic calculations
  • Prepare cost estimates
  • Assist with permitting and alternatives analysis
  • Prepare technical reports, plans, and specifications
  • Support engineering services during construction, including reviewing contractor submittals
  • Participate in field activities such as site visits and pilot testing
  • Occasional travel may be required, but most projects are local

Professional Engineer through Senior Engineer:

  • Registration as a Professional Engineer
  • Experience managing water/wastewater infrastructure projects with responsibility for budget, schedule, and quality
  • Ability to deliver high-quality services within constraints
  • Coordinate sub-consultant work
  • May serve as project manager on small to medium projects
  • Assist with planning, scheduling, and supervising project teams
  • Perform advanced data analysis, system modeling, and hydraulic calculations
  • Contribute to effective communication among teams and stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain client relationships
  • Assist with proposal preparation and fee estimates
  • Mentor and train junior engineers

Qualifications

  • Degree in civil or environmental engineering or related field
  • Professional Engineer license or EIT certification (or passed FE exam)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering (Master's preferred)
  • Entry Level: 2-4 years experience
  • Professional Engineer: 4-8 years experience
  • Mid-Level: 6-12 years experience
  • Senior Level: 12+ years experience
