Water Treatment Operator

We're working with an exciting client who is expanding their team and looking for a Water Treatment Operator to support the delivery of innovative environmental and water treatment projects. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong technical aptitude and a proactive mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate, maintain, and support the setup of water treatment systems across various project sites.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Liaise with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth operations and accurate reporting.
  • Maintain detailed records including daily logs, analytical results, and client reports.
  • Interpret technical drawings, manuals, and plans to support operational decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with WHS standards and safe work practices.

What You'll Bring:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in water treatment operations and maintenance.
  • Trade or degree qualification in Electrical, Plumbing, Environmental Science, Waste Management, or related engineering disciplines - or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong understanding of pumping, valving, chemical dosing, and process control systems.
  • Familiarity with telemetry and remote monitoring systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent English (spoken and written).
  • High level of computer literacy and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Current driver's licence and White Card (or willingness to obtain).
