Water/Wastewater Senior Project Manager
Our client, a leading employee-owned engineering consulting firm with a strong track record in water infrastructure, is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Senior Project Manager to support the delivery of complex municipal projects. This is a senior leadership opportunity working across advanced treatment, conveyance, and sustainable infrastructure initiatives.
The role
As a senior project leader, you will take ownership of the engineering delivery across multiple wastewater and water projects, including design-build and traditional delivery methods. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, oversee project performance, and act as a key interface with clients on high-profile municipal programs.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the execution of wastewater and water treatment projects, including upgrades, expansions, and new facilities
- Manage multi-discipline engineering teams, coordinating design efforts across civil, process, mechanical, electrical, and structural elements
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, and quality standards
- Serve as the primary engineering point of contact for clients, managing expectations and resolving technical challenges
- Support business development efforts, including proposals and client engagement
- Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers, supporting team growth and performance
Technical scope
- Advanced wastewater treatment processes
- Conveyance systems and underground infrastructure
- Sustainable and carbon reduction solutions within water infrastructure
- Large-scale municipal treatment plant upgrades and expansions
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in water/wastewater engineering, with a focus on wastewater treatment
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited program
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams on complex projects
- Strong track record in project delivery, including budget and schedule management
Preferred
- PE license
- Prior consulting experience
- Experience delivering multi-discipline WTP/WWTP projects
