Role Overview
As an Aftersales Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening customer relationships, optimizing aftermarket sales processes, and ensuring accurate tracking of installed equipment and service milestones. This role bridges customer service and sales operations, enabling seamless execution from initial outreach to post-sales support.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Engagement & Lead Generation
- Proactively engage past and existing customers via calls and emails to schedule inspections and assess current needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships to identify service opportunities and support customer retention.
- Conduct initial screening of prospects through data analysis and outreach.
Sales Enablement & Proposal Management
- Create structured proposals for aftermarket sales, including retrofits, spare parts, and service packages.
- Prioritize aftersales revenue opportunities and generate qualified leads for the aftermarket sales team.
- Monitor actions and progress to ensure timely follow-ups and conversions.
CRM & Installed Base Management
- Maintain and update the installed base database inSalesforceCRM, including:
- Customer details and contacts
- Product installation dates
- Records of service visits and works provided
- Upcoming service milestones
- Ensure data accuracy and visibility across teams to support decision-making and customer service excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in customer service, sales operations, or technical sales support.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in CRM systems.
- Process-oriented mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
