I'm working with a well-established client in Arizona who is actively seeking a highly experienced Survey Crew Chief to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in the field, takes pride in precision and leadership, and is ready to take ownership of complex survey projects from start to finish. The client specializes in a wide range of land development and infrastructure projects, and they're looking for a Crew Chief who can confidently lead field operations, ensure data integrity, and serve as a reliable point of contact between the field team and project managers. Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage field crews conducting boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and construction staking surveys.
- Operate and maintain survey equipment including GPS, robotic total stations, and levels.
- Interpret construction plans, legal documents, and survey data.
- Ensure accurate data collection and documentation for project deliverables.
- Maintain clear communication with project managers and clients.
- Uphold safety standards and company protocols during field operations.
- Assist with calculations and CAD work as needed.
- Travel within Arizona may be required depending on project location.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in land surveying, with at least 2 years in a crew chief role.
- Proficiency with modern survey equipment and software (Trimble, Leica, AutoCAD, etc.).
- Strong understanding of survey principles and legal boundaries.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- LSIT certification preferred but not required.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
